Carbon Dioxide Emissions 1950-2020 (Climate part I)

af | 5. februar 2022 | Klimakrisen

Using 4000 or so markers we visualize the human impact on climate change during the last 70 years. In 2021 the emissions of carbon dioxide lept up from a temporary decline during 2020.

In this video we take a look at carbon dioxide emissions 1950-2020, emissions per capita, accumulated emissions for 11 regions; the United States, the rest of North America, South America, Africa, the EU-27 plus UK, the rest of Europe including Russia, China, India, the rest of Asia, Oceania and international transportation, as well as emissions of the other main green house gases of methane, nitrous oxide and flourinated gases. We also visualize how much emissions are imbedded in international trade.

Part II of this video will be released in a couple of weeks and focus on the sources of emissions and consequences of climate change.
