Driving on Solar
The solar car, an electric car with built-in solar panels, will be on the market in 2022. And for once, this solar mobility sector is not being led by mighty Silicon Valley, but by the Netherlands.
From 2030 onwards, no new cars may be sold in the Netherlands that run on petrol or diesel. But what will we be driving on? Electric driving will soon take on a new dimension. Where we still need to plug into a wall socket to recharge the car, it could be that the sun will take over a significant part of the recharging of our cars.
We look at the brand new models and talks to the designers about their dreams and the obstacles.
