​The climate emergency appears to have taken a turn for the worse this week as the world’s most powerful nation and second largest greenhouse gas emitter just elected a climate denier back into The White House. It’s tempting to think the cause of climate mitigation is now all but dead. But just at the top of a very black cloud there is a faint glimmer of a brighter lining, thanks to new analysis conducted by the European Environment Agency.
